Creating Interactive Activities with Google Slides

In this post I want to encourage you to start creating your own bank of activities for your classes. I want to thank Ms. Lopez for accepting to share her work (I will not claim royalties for it).

There are many tutorials about this, but we can resume to the following steps:

One.- Create Instructions and background Image.
Use your first slide to give instructions how to do the activity or explain your expectations.
Create a background image using slides or any other product. You will export the image to any of the common formats, e.g. .png, .jpg, etc. Set the image as background because it will be the non-movable part or the activity.

Two.- Add movable elements.
Draw the drag-and-drop shapes. You need to be aware that some students will use smart phones. Do not make too small elements that will be difficult to be dragged.

Video: The video illustrates how this activity was created in slides.

These are some examples of student work. You can see how PK-3 students can demonstrate proficiency in understanding image graphs!
